Temples announce new EP and share single “Day of Conquest” ahead of U.S. Tour

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut album Sun Structures, British neo-psychedelic rock band Temples has announced the release of a new EP titled Other Structures. Set to drop on October 4 via Fat Possum Records, this EP is a special collection of B-sides and remixes, marking a decade of the band’s groundbreaking sonic journey.

In conjunction with the EP announcement, Temples has shared its lead single, “Day of Conquest,” a previously unreleased track from Sun Structures recording sessions. Released alongside a music video featuring live performance clips and behind-the-scenes footage, the single gives fans a fresh glimpse into the band’s creative process during the making of their debut.

“‘Day of Conquest’ was part of the Sun Structures album demos,” recalls singer and guitarist James Bagshaw. “It probably would have made it onto the album, but we ran out of runtime on the LP. Rediscovering this song was a pleasant surprise. I love the contrast in its sections and the fact that it doesn’t really have a chorus!”

The Other Structures EP includes four B-sides and two remixes: one by The SLP (from Kasabian) and another by Robert Levon Been (from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club). These tracks are an exciting addition to Temples’ already rich discography and will resonate with both longtime fans and new listeners.

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Sun Structures, Temples will embark on a U.S. tour this October, where they will perform the album in its entirety, along with a select other songs from their catalog. Kicking off on October 9 in Seattle and wrapping up in Cambridge, MA, on October 18, this tour is a chance for fans to experience Sun Structures live in all its glory. A newly announced intimate show in Los Angeles has also been added to the tour, promising a special experience for California fans.
