GRAMMY Award-winning Texas native and celebrated musician Leon Bridges has announced a special Texas extension of his fall tour, Leon Bridges: The Texas Tour with Hermanos Gutiérrez. This addition comes in celebration of his sold-out homecoming show at Fort Worth Dickies Arena, marking his largest headlining performance of his career.
Kicking off on October 4 with an appearance at the ACL Music Festival in Austin, the expanded Texas tour will include stops in cities that have been less frequented by the star, such as Lubbock, El Paso, and San Antonio. The tour will culminate on November 15 with the highly anticipated, sold-out show at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.
Regarding the decision to expand the tour to additional Texas cities, Bridges shared, “I wanted to get to a few other Texas cities that I haven’t been to in a minute, if ever. The kind of cities that remind me of where I started and what truly matters to me. That connection with your hometown and home state, and the fans that support you every step of the way.”
Tickets for the new Texas dates went on presale on Tuesday, September 10, with public sales beginning this past Friday, September 13, at 10 AM local time. Fans can visit www.theleontour.com for more details. Notably, $1 from every ticket sold will benefit Leon’s charity, The Big Good. More information about the charity can be found at www.thebiggood.org.
The Texas tour will promote Bridges’ upcoming self-titled album, Leon, scheduled for release on October 4 via Columbia Records. Recorded in Mexico City and Nashville, the 13-track album is expected to showcase Leon’s signature blend of storytelling and genre fusion, marking his most personal and reflective work yet. The album’s production comes from Ian Fitchuk and Daniel Tashian, notable for their work with Kacey Musgraves.
