On September 24, 2024, Caskets performed on their North America tour in Charlotte, NC, at Amos Southend with special guests Colorblind and Wind Walkers! This small lineup has to be one of my favorite ones by far of 2024! The show was so intimate and I was able to capture amazing moments! And I believe it was sold out! The best way to spend a Tuesday night!
Opening the night was Colorblind and they easily became one of my favorite bands in the last couple of months. The last time I saw this band perform was when they toured with Honey Revenge. I am obsessed with the “dreamy” sound they have and that’s why they are considered dream-core. The band just released their newest single “Needle Eye” and I am OBSESSED! This song is my favorite that the band created. During their set, they performed songs such as “Love is Red,” “Ghosts,” and “Shameless.”
I am honestly obsessed with Travis’s voice. He has such an angelic sound and Colorblind wouldn’t have that dream sound without him in my opinion. Nicholas Asper is bass, Justin Ryan is guitar, and Tyler Moseley is the drummer in the band! I’ve known Justin for awhile and I am so proud of him and how far he has come! I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for this band! Hopefully a national tour! Keep an eye out for this band. They will continue to strive in this industry and release heartfelt music!
Wind Walkers was next and I sadly missed them on their last tour with VRSTY, I believe, because my mental health wasn’t the best. Now, I am glad I was doing a little bit better so I could finally see them live! I haven’t really listened to them that much, but one of my best friends told me their live performance is top tier, so of course I was excited! The band performed songs such as “Bodybag,” “Hangfire,” and “Drowning Hymns.” My favorite song by them has to be “The Feeling” that was released back in 2016! They released their newest album in 2023 called “What If I Break,” “Hangfire” and “Dead Talk” are the most popular songs off that album! And their cover of the song “Without Me” with over 26 million Spotify plays! It’s always awesome to see so many people sing along with the band and I can sense that everyone got lost in their emotions during their set! Check out their video for “Bodybag” below! After hearing it live, I suggest you listen and watch the video! Wind Walker, during their set, had a guest vocalist on stage and I don’t know who she was, but she had some heavy vocals to her! She was also photographing their set!
Caskets was finally up! I saw them last at Blue Ridge Rock Festival and, yes, I crowd surfed to their set at least six times. I did the same thing when I saw them in Baltimore on Blessthefalls‘ tour. I was so excited when they announced this tour because I swear all the good bands are not from the states and it makes me really sad. I can’t believe I can finally cross Casket’s off my bucket list and the night was so memorable. Caskets performed a lot of my favorite songs such as opening up with “Guiding Light,” “Nothing To Hide,” “Drowned in Emotion,” “Hold Me Now,” and, my all time favorite, “Lost in Echoes.”
It was amazing to see so many attendees singing a long to every song with Matt! Matt Flood (vocals) has a voice that you can’t seem to stop listening to or take your eyes off him! He has one of the best stage presences I’ve seen in awhile and I am so glad I get to see the band tour North America on their first headlining tour! I actually saw one of my internet friends jamming out to the set and that was the first time meeting this friend! Meeting them and watching them have the best time made me so happy that I got this opportunity because I didn’t even expect to meet this friend! The venue didn’t have the best lights, but the whole performance was beautiful! I sung my heart out to every single song and I can’t wait to see them again hopefully in 2025!
