“Living in a hell you made; Every time you lie to my face; I just need to get away; Before it’s too late.” More relatable lyrics. Have you ever had someone lie to your face constantly, and you think to yourself that if you don’t get away from this person, you will stay in a toxic situation and not move on? I relate to this because I tend to stay in situations where I know people are liars, but I have false hope that maybe they are telling the truth and eventually it becomes “too late” to get away from them because they have you at their grasp.
Chorus: “‘Cause you promised me forever; You made me believe I’d never; Feel like I was; Better off, better off alone.” Now these lyrics hit home. I was in a relationship when someone promised me the world, to the point where they made me feel like I would always need them and that I wouldn’t be able to live this life without them.
