Ice Nine Kills share “A Work Of Art”

Ice Nine Kills has been teasing the release of their new song, “A Work Of Art,” for quite some time now. The song, inspired by the Terrifier franchise, premiered on Sirius XM Octane and Liquid Metal on October 10. The band shared a bloody new video to go with it on October 11.

“A Work Of Art” features Leah Voysey (Terrifier 2) and Shavo Odadjian (System Of A Down). Shavo shares his amazing bass skills, while Voysey gives us a chilling bridge.

I was on the fence about another horror inspired song from the band, but this one takes the cake. It has brutal, guttural screams that send chills throughout my body. I hope to hear more lows like that soon. The song has an old school feel to it, like the days of Every Trick In The Book. If the music sounds like this, you can count me in for a third Silver Scream album. Fellow Psychos can listen to the song here.

The music video is definitely not for the weak, so viewer discretion is advised. The video features none other than Art The Clown himself, David Howard Thornton, in all his bloody glory. This video is definitely a step up from Welcome To Horrorwood.” In the video, we see Art walk into the pit of an Ice Nine Kills show. It doesn’t take long for this sinister clown to turn this concert into a blood bath. Watch the video below at your own risk!

A Work Of Art was featured in the latest installment of the Terrifier franchise. If you listen closely, you can hear it in the background of a certain scene. I won’t give too much away, but it was pretty cool to hear it in the movie. Ice Nine Kills lead singer, Spencer Charnas, had this to say about the collaboration;

“Creating a track for Terrifier 3 is like stepping into the ultimate horror playground. The film and our new single, “A Work of Art”, reflect the same twisted, unrelenting energy that fans of both Ice Nine Kills and the Terrifier franchise thrive on. And having our music video play in theaters after the movie at special screenings last night was the ultimate honor and the best way to pay homage to the cinematic terror that has inspired me and this band. The extended cut of the video marks a new era of INK related terror, but what that means shall remain in my nightmares….for now. Psychos, we present to you what may well be our most glorious and goresome offering yet, sure to leave you both tongue-tied and terrified – “A Work of Art.”
