On September 27th, 2024- Always Grounded released their newest single “Tired Bones” and also wanted to announce they are signed to Ghost Killer Entertainment! “Signing with Ghost Killer was a dream come true. After the sudden passing of our lead guitarist Jude Alexander we weren’t exactly sure what was going to happen to Always Grounded. We had a whole EP with Judes last works ready to be released, we just didn’t know how or when we would release them. When GKE came along it rejuvenated everyone in the band to keep going and keep writing, in order to keep Judes memory alive. We are can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.” –RJ Dionne, lead vocalist.
“I wish my head would shut up; I swear that I’ve had enough; Of these voices dragging me down; If I’m kicking I can’t drown” I relate very heavily to these lyrics because the voices in my head everyday constantly tell me that I’m failing, but in reality I am not. I tell myself everyday that I can let these voices drown me mentally, but at the same time they are so loud that I start to believe them at times.
“I might alone; In a world that promised hope; It only offered tired bones; And this sadness I call home.” These lyrics are explaining that we are promised so many things at times, but when the time comes around those promises are never kept which makes us feel tired mentally.
“I wrote Tired Bones about feeling like when I was younger I was made all of these false promises from adults that never came to fruition. It left a constant lingering feeling of failure in the back of my mind, like no matter how much I succeed or am ahead in life, I’m still falling behind.”- RJ Dionne, lead vocalist.
Fans can catch Always Grounded live on November 9 at The Cellar in Hamden CT supporting Keep Flying, Don’t Panic and Eternal Boy. Tickets are now available.
