Tori Kelly brings unforgettable energy to Boston’s House of Blues

Tori Kelly’s Purple Skies Tour arrived at Citizens House of Blues Boston, and what an unforgettable night it was!

I traveled about an hour away, bursting with so much excitement to finally see Tori Kelly perform live! I first heard of Tori back in 2010 when she appeared on American Idol, and I’ve kept up with her ever since.

Tori opened the show with “Thing You Do” from her latest album,Tori, which was the perfect choice! The upbeat tempo instantly got the energy going, and the crowd was ecstatic. Her live vocals are incredible and will blow you away just as they did for me! The stage lighting, featuring purple and blue hues, perfectly fit the theme of this tour. One of my personal highlights was “High Water,” which sounded even better in person! The emotion in her voice was so striking and resonated so deeply with the audience.

As she performed, you could see fans singing along and it was one of the most upbeat crowds that I have ever seen! The atmosphere was electric, with fans reacting enthusiastically to each song!

Tori ended the show with her encore song, “missin’ u,” which is one of my favorite tracks of hers! The energy was at its peak, leaving everyone wanting more. After the show, I went in my car and listened to her latest album, still overjoyed from the experience. If you love R&B and pop, like me, this is a show that will leave a lasting impression and it is so worth it!!!

Maisy Kay, the opener for the tour, had great stage presence and knew how to engage the crowd. One of the best moments was her cover of Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl,” which had everyone singing along. It was a fun and energetic performance that got the audience ready for Tori Kelly.
