Electronic music visionary Knock2 has unveiled his latest single, “hold my hand,” a stirring track from his upcoming debut album, nolimit. This new release, paired with a music video directed by 3D animator Alec West, delivers a nostalgic yet fresh take on progressive and electro-house. “hold my hand” brings a wave of cathartic melodies and is an instant festival favorite, already featured in Knock2’s live performances at Lollapalooza, HARD Summer, and his sold-out ROOM202 tour.
The single, co-written with Nick smith and vocalist Sophia Gripari, creates a sonic experience that Knock2 describes as “nostalgic and bittersweet.” With its emotive chord progressions and powerful vocals from Gripari, the song recalls the anthemic era of early-2010s electronic music but with a modern twist. The music video introduces the character Dash, a hacker in a neon-lit, dystopian metropolis, taking viewers on a journey that unfolds nolimit‘s retro futuristic world.
Knock2’s 2024 will culminate with two major events as part of his collaborative project ISOKNOCK with fellow Sand Diego native ISOxo. From November 20-22, the duo will take over San Francisco’s Bill Graham Auditorium with Bay area 4EVR at Snapdragon Stadium. These events will showcase performances from heavyweights like Madeon, RL Grime, and more.
Following a year of high-profile festival appearances, including Ultra Music Festival, Electric Forest, and Outside Lands, Knock2’s debut album promises to be his boldest creative endeavor yet. “hold my hand” sets the tone for what’s to come, building excitement for nolimit and marking Knock2 as a force in electronic music innovation.
