On October 23rd, 2024- Deathbloom released their debut single “Snake Venom” with a video as well via Slam Worldwide. And like I always stated in articles; I haven’t really been a fan of the deathcore genre, but this song honestly makes me want to take my anger out and I don’t care how I do it. As I watched the video and listened to the lyrics; I was honestly sitting next to my co-worker and her words were “Does this man have a demon in him? Like HOW does he sound like that? Is he religious? Is he angry?” This release makes me want to dwell deep down inside myself and realize that we all have a force inside of us that holds anger. And that it controls us at times. Can’t wait to hear more from this band! North Carolina knows how to cause mayhem in the best way possible music wise!
“The sickness will continue to spread; Everything you love; Everything you hate; Will be at the mercy of my hand” These lyrics reminds me of someone being controlled by something sinister and everything around that person is at risk for complete chaos. And who doesn’t love a little chaos in their life?
“This is my world; I decide who will live; And I decide who will die; You will die” Now these lyrics are dark and ominous which gives the listener the impression that something does have control of this person and that at the end of it all; they will die.

“The song plays part of the storyline of our ep, which is to be announced at a later date. Snake Venom is chapter 3 of 5. But this particular part of the story in Snake Venom, expresses the mental state our (character) is in after experiencing being possessed by a dark entity with hateful intentions. After being trapped for so long, the entity has a host and is free to roam to continue the havoc it once set out to do” – Deathbloom
“Honestly, I think I speak for everyone when I say it’s a relief to finally have this part out. Without saying too much, we’ve been working on the music for a good while and trying to make sure we properly planned everything perfectly. It’s been a burden to keep everything under wraps for so long, so to have a piece of the music finally out into the world and seeing absolutely nothing but positive reviews is a breath of life we all desperately needed! So thankful for the way things have played out so far” – Deathbloom
