Santa Ana Rodeo – A Halloween spectacular

From The Blue Man Group to The Teletubbies, everyone was in attendance to Santa Ana Rodeo’s show Friday night.

VelvetDaydream, a Denver based band started the night on a high with their in-your-face vocals and solid baselines. As you could conclude from just their opening song, classic Rock’n Roll was back in Boulder that night. And, it’s no doubt that bass player Jude Pfanstiel planted the dance bug within the crowd.

The High Lines didn’t carry on the Rock’n Roll theme. Instead, the audience was charmed with this indie bands raw vocals and catchy riffs. If opening with a Wallows cover is already enough of a power move, I would say The High Lines are ones to watch in Boulder.

Santa Ana Rodeo hit a perfect balance of instrument forward tunes to introspective lyrics. This Boulder, Colorado based band, composed of Oskar Pedersen, Lander McNamee, Jude Shaw, and Malcolm Holman, took on their headlining position with an artful confidence. I know personally I will be keeping my eyes open for more of their shows.
