Austrian indie punk band HYPERDOG has officially announced their upcoming EP, Tales From The Mountain, set for release on December 6, 2024, via Goodbye Boozy Records. In anticipation of this highly awaited release, the band has dropped their new single, “Not Cool,” which is now available for streaming. The single gives fans a taste of the new EP’s sound, blending HYPERDOG’s signature high-energy style with fresh elements and a deeper exploration of serious themes. “With this EP, I’ve tried to bring in some new sounds, like synths and organs, and I’ve also addressed more serious topics, like addiction and depression. But it’s still a HYPERDOG record, so it’s catchy, quirky, and fast,” says frontman Mario Sanchez, who serves as both singer and guitarist for the band. The upcoming EP showcases the band’s evolution, adding new layers and textures to their well-established indie punk sound.
To support Tales From The Mountain, HYPERDOG will embark on a mini-tour, playing select live shows across Germany and Austria, bringing their renowned high-energy performances to fans. Concert dates are scheduled as follows: on November 14, 2024, they’ll perform at Eternia in Prague, CZ; November 15 at OGH in Berlin, GER; November 16 at XanXonHop in Leipzig, GER; November 30 at Immerhin in Würzburg, GER; December 6 at PPC in Graz, AT; and December 11 at Posthof in Linz, AT. These live shows are sure to deliver the raw, intense energy that HYPERDOG has built their reputation upon, promising memorable experiences for both new fans and long-time listeners.
Formed in Linz, Austria, HYPERDOG has carved out a distinctive spot in the punk rock scene with an eclectic blend of raw, unfiltered sound and genre-blending influences.
