070 Shake releases “Vagabond” music video, new album Petrichor out now, and announces 2025 tour

The ever-evolving 070 Shake has just shared a visually compelling music video for her song “Vagabond,” coinciding with the release of her highly praised third album, Petrichor. With its introspective themes and experimental artistry, Petrichor cements Shake’s reputation as one of the boldest voices in modern music.

The music video for “Vagabond,” directed by Bennett Watanabe, matches the album’s atmosphere of introspection and transformation. Shot against a stark black backdrop, the video intertwines flashes of light bulbs and falling rain, creating an intimate, almost dreamlike world. In it, Shake navigates through liminal spaces—running, stumbling, and singing with raw emotion—symbolizing the journey she takes listeners on throughout Petrichor.

Executive-produced by Shake and her longtime collaborator Dave Hamelin, Petrichor blends genres with ease. Acoustic guitars, ominous synths, ornate piano passages, and dembow rhythms all find their place in this deeply personal yet boundaryless project. Shake’s creative risk-taking shines in collaborations with:

  • Courtney Love on a haunting cover of Tim Buckley’s “Song to the Siren,” with backing from Melissa Auf der Maur, marking their first joint recording since Hole.
  • JT (City Girls) on the mystical “Into Your Garden.”
  • Cam, who lends her voice to the euphoric “Never Let Us Fade.”
  • Lily-Rose Depp, featured on the emotionally charged “Blood On Your Hands.”

The album has also inspired visually stunning accompaniments, such as the music video for “Elephant,” filmed on the day of Shake’s A Night at the Ballet in Los Angeles. The event brought Petrichor to life through choreography by Zoi Tatopoulous and a performance by Violetta Komyshan.

In support of Petrichor, 070 Shake will embark on an extensive 2025 tour. The North American leg kicks off on January 21 in Atlanta, with stops in major cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, before heading back to the U.K. and Europe in March. Fans can expect performances of Petrichor‘s standout tracks alongside highlights from her earlier work.

Tickets are available now at 070shake.com/tour.

Since her breakout in 2019, the New Jersey native has been celebrated for her emotional vocal delivery and genre-defying production. Following her debut album Modus Vivendi (2020) and You Can’t Kill Me (2022), Shake has continued to push boundaries, collaborating with artists like RAYE on the chart-topping hit “Escapism.”

Petrichor marks her most ambitious work to date, blending rich orchestral arrangements with experimental soundscapes. Shake invites listeners to immerse themselves in her vision, from the haunting intimacy of “Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues” to the philosophical depths of tracks like “Lungs” and “Sin.”

070 Shake’s Petrichor is now available on all major streaming platforms. Watch the music video for “Vagabond” and experience the album that’s already being hailed as a classic in the making.
