Alternative rock band The Intemperate Sons continue their genre-defying journey with the release of their latest single, “Meat Suit.” Accompanied by a gripping music video, the song is available now on all major streaming platforms, brought to audiences through FRAME|WORK Records.
Described by the band as “a sludgy and honest expression of surviving in a world where everyone wants to bite,” “Meat Suit” delves deep into the human experience. Its lyrics explore the cyclical emptiness of life and survival, represented metaphorically as living under a “Meat Suit.” The track captures a relentless hunger and thirst that intensifies with time, creating a stark and thought-provoking narrative.

The Intemperate Sons partnered with FRAME|WORK Records under the guidance of acclaimed producers Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema). Their expertise helped shape “Meat Suit” into a dynamic expression of the band’s vision. Derakh, who mixed the track at Synthicide Studios in Long Beach, California, played a crucial role in the production, while Mark Marsh Mastering in the U.K. added the final polish.
Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 2019, The Intemperate Sons—comprised of Max Watson (vocals, guitars, keys), Jake Watson (guitars), Keith Watson (drums), and Mark Marks (bass)—bring a unique mix of ’90s alternative and ’70s influences. Their sound fuses hard rock, grunge, and folk elements, often drawing comparisons to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and R.E.M.
Each member contributes to the band’s creative process:

- Max Watson, as lead vocalist, lends versatility and melodic brilliance.
