Electronic music virtuoso Tycho, the two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated project led by Scott Hansen, ends 2024 on a high note with the release of their latest EP, Where You Are. Available now via Mom + Pop in the U.S. and Ninja Tune internationally, this six-track collection further cements Tycho’s reputation for creating transcendent soundscapes that inspire emotional and physical healing.

The EP is anchored by the mesmerizing track “Infinite Health,” featuring the soulful vocals of Cautious Clay, a Blue Note recording artist celebrated for collaborations with Billie Eilish, John Mayer, and John Legend. Originally crafted as an instrumental on Tycho’s Infinite Health album, the song evolved into a standalone piece, encapsulating themes of health, mindfulness, and self-care.

“To make the most positive impact on the people you love and the people that love you, you have to be the healthiest, strong version of yourself,” Hansen shares. “Music has a unique ability to heal and I hope my work provides that solace for others.”

Cautious Clay adds, “The song’s lyrics are inspired by meditation, breath work, and psilocybin’s benefits. The original title, ‘Infinite Health,’ sparked the idea of creating a lyrical narrative around these themes.”

An EP expands on Tycho’s sonic universe with tracks that blend ethereal melodies, intricate rhythms, and an unmistakable sense of nostalgia. Highlights include the two-part odyssey “To Everywhere,” the rhythmic explore of “DX Odyssey,” and an extended edit of “Infinite Health.” Closing with “Epilogue,” the EP offers a meditative conclusion to an introspective journey.

This year marked the release of Tycho’s seventh studio album, Infinite Health, co-produced with Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor and guitarist Zac Brown. The album received widespread acclaim, with NPR praising it as “an intimate, emotionally fulfilling journey,” while Clash lauded its “sharply constructed and engrossing” soundscapes.

Tycho will kick off 2025 with a highly anticipated world tour, starting January 8 at House of Blues Orlando in Florida. The tour will traverse North America, Japan, and Europe, with stops in iconic venues like London’s KOKO and Berlin’s Huxleys Neue Welt. Festival highlights include appearances at Goose’s Viva El Gonzo in Mexico and the Disco Biscuits’ SeaBisco Alaska Cruise.

For nearly two decades, Tycho has pushed the boundaries of electronic music, blending vintage analog synths, downtempo guitar, and intricate rhythms. Hansen’s focus on wellness and nostalgia resonates deeply with fans and critics alike.
