Miranda and The Beat are taking their high-energy rock and roll show on the road in January 2025, bringing their acclaimed new album Can’t Take It to audiences across the South. With a sound that blends garage-soul, punk, and a little bit of everything in between, the trio is set to hit cities including New Orleans, Birmingham, Atlanta, Nashville, and Miami. The tour kicks off on January 15 and will feature special guests Designer and Snacks. Tickets are on sale now!
Released through Ernest Jenning Record Co./Khannibalism in North America and Wild Honey in Europe, Can’t Take It has already garnered praise from critics, with publications like CREEM and Rosy Overdrive highlighting the band’s evolution and fierce commitment to their craft. The album was recorded at King Khan’s Moon Studios Rock n’ Roll Vortex in the German countryside, a setting that influences both the music and the eerie mystique of the band’s latest videos. Miranda Zipse, the lead vocalist and guitarist, describes the making of the album as a surreal experience, fraught with strange occurrences — including an 8-foot mirror falling on their engineer and a tomahawk narrowly missing band member Dylan Fernandez.
On the video for “El Lobo Negro,” Miranda notes, “We wrote this song to capture the ominous and superstitious nature of our recording experience. Beware, for the spirit of ‘El Lobo Negro’ could be conjured by playing this track.”
The album is now available to stream on all digital platforms, and fans can check out the videos for “El Lobo Negro,” “Manipulate Me,” “Can’t Take It,” and “Earthquake Water” on YouTube.

Miranda and The Beat, consisting of Miranda Zipse (guitar and vocals), Dylan Fernandez (farfisa), and Alvin Jackson (bass), have made a name for themselves with their explosive live shows and fearless approach to music. After the release of their self-titled album in 2023, they’ve been touring relentlessly, cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting acts in indie rock today. Their sound is a thrilling combination of garage punk, soul, surf rock, and more, with lyrics that capture the raw emotion of the modern world.
After spending time in New York, the band relocated to New Orleans, where they found a new home that better reflected their bold, rebellious spirit. Can’t Take It is a record of catharsis, showcasing Miranda and The Beat’s ability to combine blazing punk riffs with emotional depths and evocative storytelling.
King Khan, the “Emperor of RnB,” calls Miranda and The Beat “the quintessential heirs to our rock n’ roll throne.” He praises the band’s ferocity, likening Miranda Zipse’s guitar playing to Link Wray and her vocals to a nuclear meltdown of Lydia Lunch and Etta James. The band’s energy and raw sound have earned them comparisons to some of rock and roll’s most iconic figures, and they are ready to carry the torch forward with their unapologetic, unrelenting music.
