Italian metal titans Lacuna Coil released their latest single “Gravity,” along with a visually captivating music video. This marks the fifth single from their highly anticipated 10th studio album, Sleepless Empire, set to drop on February 14, 2025, via Century Media Records. The new track continues the band’s tradition of pairing profound lyrical themes with their signature blend of melodic and heavy elements.

“Gravity” explores the struggle of finding balance during life’s most challenging moments. The band describes it as a reflection on how people cope with adversity, whether by reaching out for help or retreating into isolation. Speaking about the song, the band shared:
“Balance is so difficult to keep as we navigate through desperate times, feeling lost and gasping as we ask for help. How do we deal with tough times? Do we ask for a hand? Or do we isolate ourselves from everything else to recollect in our own misanthropic golden cage? I hope you will love ‘Gravity’ as much as we do and that it will make you reflect on the time we have left and how to use it wisely.”
Sleepless Empire is set to be a landmark release in Lacuna Coil’s illustrious career. As the follow-up to their 2022 remark album Comalies XX, this new full-length project presents a dark, cinematic journey through a chaotic digital age. With themes of identity, rebellion, and the search for meaning, the album captures the essence of a generation grappling with the overwhelming pace of modern life.
