At just 17 years old, breakout artist Ty Myers is kicking off 2025 with a double dose of artistry and ambition. The rising star has released his evocative new single, “Drunk Love,” a heartfelt ballad chronicling the regret of rushing into love, paired with a cinematic music video for his anthem “Can’t Hold Me Down,” filmed live in Las Vegas.
Out now via RECORDS Nashville/Columbia, “Drunk Love” showcases Meyers’ ability to channel complex emotions through his songwriting. Written entirely by Myers, the track highlights his signature blend of rock, country, and blues influences, coupled with his soulful vocals and intricate guitar work. The ballad paints a vivid picture of emotional sobriety after a whirlwind romance, where the thrill fades, leaving deeper yearning behind.
A standout on Myers’ highly anticipated debut album The Select, slated for release January 24, the track reflects his artistic maturity, defying his young age. It’s one of 12 self-penned songs on the 16-track album, which is inspired by literary legend Ernest Hemingway’s creative haven, Le Select.
In tandem with his new single, Myers has unveiled the music video for “Can’t Hold Me Down.” Directed by John Park and Wales Toney, the video captures the electrifying spirit of Myers’ bluesy anthem, merging stunning desert vistas with behind-the-scenes moments from his recent U.S. tour.
Filmed on location in Las Vegas, the video offers a glimpse into Myers’ life on the road, including his supporting performance for Cody Johnson at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The clip underscores the rising star’s relentless drive, framed against the grandeur of the American West.
