Mayday Parade announce massive 20-Year anniversary tour and new album trilogy

Tallahassee’s beloved emo and pop-punk icons, Mayday Parade, are kicking off a monumental celebration of their two-decade career with the announcement of their Three Cheers for Twenty Years North American tour this spring. The tour, set to span nearly two months, will spotlight the band’s storied discography, from fan-favorite classics to their latest new material. Starting on April 22 in St. Petersburg, FL, the tour will traverse the continent before concluding on June 7 in their hometown of Tallahassee, FL, at The Moon.

“This tour is the culmination of the band’s career for the past 29 years, and as such, we really wanted to go all out and provide our fans with a memorable and very special experience,” shared guitarist Alex Garcia. “We are all very proud of what we’ve done, and when I say we, I mean the five of us, our crew, and most importantly, you, the fans.”

The Three Cheers for Twenty Years tour promises an unforgettable journey through Mayday Parade’s expansive catalog. From their gold-certified debut A Lesson in Romantics (2007) to their platinum hit “Jamie All Over” and fan-loved anthems like “Miserable At Best” and “Oh Well, Oh Well,” the tour is an homage to the band’s enduring impact on the emo and pop-punk scenes.

In addition to their anniversary celebrations, Mayday Parade has announced their ambitious new project: a three-part album trilogy. The first installment, Sweet, will drop on April 18, 2025, just days before the tour begins. Recorded with longtime collaborators Zack Odom and Kenneth mount (All Time Low, Jimmy Eat World), the trilogy will serve as the band’s eighth studio album and their first self-released collection since their 2006 debut, Tales Told By Dead Friends.

The band has already teased the project with singles like the uplifting “By The Way” and the reflective “Pretty Good To Feel Something.” These tracks, available now, offer fans a taste of how far the group has evolved musically while staying true to their roots.

Since forming in 2005, Mayday Parade has been a cornerstone of the emo and pop-punk genres. Their debut LP, A Lesson in Romantic, is hailed one fo the best emo albums of all time, while subsequent releases like Monsters in the Closet (2013) solidified their commercial success with top 10 Billboard 200 placements. Tracks like “Jamie All Over” and “Miserable At Best” have earned platinum and gold certifications, respectively, showcasing their deep connection with fans across generations.

As Mayday Parade prepares to celebrate 20 years of heartfelt anthems and emotionally charged performances, fans can also look forward to new music that underscores their relevance in a changing musical landscape.

The ‘Three Cheers for Twenty Years’ tour will hit iconic venues across North America, including the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ, and The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City. The band will also make a highly anticipated appearance at this year’s When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas on October 18.
