British alt-pop duo Good Neighbours continue their meteoric rise with the release of their heartfelt new single, “Ripple,” now available via Capitol Records. The song follows their platinum-certified debut single, “Home,” and sets the tone for what promises to be an incredible year for the pair, comprising Scott Verrill and Oli Fox.
Speaking on their latest track, Good Neighbours shared, “Ripple was written about a close friend going through grief. They felt overwhelmed by the feeling and would sink into themselves. This song is about pulling your loved ones out of that deep place.”
Accompanying the single is their debut official music video, directed by Alex Lockett. The visual narrative intertwines nostalgic scenes of two young boys (mirroring a young Scott and Oli)o conquering a swimming lesson with present-day performance clips. Lockett describes the black brick the young boy struggles to retrieve as “a metaphor for the burdens we carry and the resistance we face when bringing them to the surface.” The video is ultimately a celebration of resilience, friendship, and the support systems that help us overcome life’s challenges.
Good Neighbours had a blockbuster 2024, highlighted by their debut single “Home,” which was certified Platinum and became the most-streamed debut single globally last year. The track amassed over 480 million streams and dominated TikTok, with videos using the song accumulating 2 billion views. Their accolades including a Billboard Music Award nomination, placement on BBC Sound of 2025 and Amazon Music UK’s Artists to Watch, and becoming a VEVO DSCVR Artist to Watch for 2025.
The band also dropped their self-titled debut EP in 2024, featuring hits like “Daisies” (featured on the EA Sports FC 25 soundtrack) and a special cover of Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games” as part of Spotify Singles. Good Neighbours capped the year off with a stripped-back version of “Home,” bringing the song’s emotional resonance full circle.
