The 12th annual WinterWonderGrass Steamboat is just around the corner, kicking off in five weeks at the picturesque Steamboat Mountain Resort. This beloved Colorado festival blends breathtaking mountain views with a world-class celebration of bluegrass, roots, and acoustic music, making it a must-attend event for music lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. From February 27 to March 2, 2025, festivalgoers will revel in a perfect mix of live performances, craft beer, workshops, and community spirit, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Colorado Rockies.
WinterWonderGress is packed with activities to complement its stellar lineup of performances. Guest can enjoy three full days of live music across intimate stages, free public shows, craft beer tastings, and outdoor mountain adventures. Highlights of this year include the Grass After Dark late-night concert series, the Taste of WonderGrass craft beer experience, and exclusive on-site music workshops hosted by the Coletrain Music Academy.

Returning for 2025, the Taste of WonderGrass celebrates local brewers, winemakers, and distillers, offering complimentary tastings daily from 2-4 p.m. in the festival’s heated tents: Jamboree, Pickin’ Perch, and The Soap Box. The Coletrain Music Academy will host pop-up workshops at the festival, offering a chance for kids and adults to engage in hands-on music sessions with professional musicians. These workshops culminate in public “picks” before gates open each day. According to Coleman Smith, Music Director and Founder of the academy:

WinterWonderGrass begins with an exclusive Mountaintop Dinner on February 27. Attendees will ascend Steamboat Mountain via gondola for an intimate evening of local cuisine, live music, and camaraderie. Tickets for this magical experience are sold separately.
