Breakaway Music Festival returns to Dallas in 2025 with massive lineup and new venue

Electronic music fans in Texas have reason to celebrate—Breakaway Music Festival is making a highly anticipated return to North Texas in 2025. This time, the festival is set to take over Fair Park in Dallas for a two-day event on April 4-5, bringing some of the biggest names in electronic music to kick off its nationwide tour.

Breakaway Festival has evolved significantly since its first North Texas event in 2013 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco. Initially a mix of hip-hop, electronic, and pop, the festival has refined its focus over the years, putting a greater emphasis on EDM. Now, in 2025, the festival will move to Fair Park, an iconic Dallas venue, with am improved setup designed to enhance the fan experience.

“2024 was Breakaway’s biggest year to date, and we can’t be more excited to have a bigger and more electric year in 2025,” said festival co-founder Zach Ruben. “Dallas seemed like a great market for us to kick off in. It’s a very meaningful city for our brand partners, and that seemed to be the best state to come into the market.”

This year’s Dallas Breakaway Festival promises to be a must-attend event, featuring an all-star lineup of internationally renowned DJs and producers. The 2025 headliners include:

  • Slander
  • Zedd
  • Afrojack
  • GRYFFIN
  • Louis The Child

Alongside these powerhouse acts, fans can expect performances from 16 national touring artists, including Acraze, BUNT., Evan GIIA, Jackie Hollander, and Kream.

The festival will also feature three distinct stages: A main stage dedicated to mainstream house and techno music, a second stage catering to drum and bass fans, and a silent disco featuring three regional DJ playing simultaneously on different channels.

Breakaway Festival prides itself on bringing a unique, community-orientated festival experience to each city. Rather than requiring fans to travel, the festival comes to them—integrating local elements to make each event feel personal and special.

“We really love to take a ‘people approach’ to working with local cities, municipalities, and communities,” said Breakaway Festival president Jarrod Fucci. “We are not just this big, loud thing that comes into the marketplace.”

This approach is reflected in the festival’s efforts to highlight Dallas’s local talent. Several up-and-coming regional DJs, including Carlyle, Jakegatewood, Kenzi Sway, and Sage, will perform through the weekend as festival ambassadors.

Food is another major component of Breakaway’s local focus. The festival will feature a variety of local food trucks and vendors, offering fresh and diverse cuisine beyond standard festival fare.

City officials have already praised Breakaway Festival’s arrival at Fair Park, highlighting its potential to strengthen Dallas’s reputation as a music and entertainment hub.

“It’s exciting to see such diverse programming make its way to Fair Park,” said Dallas Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Adam Bazaldua. “Events like this showcase the international efforts Fair Park is making to become a true hub for culture, music, and entertainment. I can’t wait to see our community come together to enjoy this amazing experience.”

Breakaway Festival Dallas will take place April 4-5, 2025, at Fair Park. Tickets start at $134 and are available now through the official Breakaway Festival website. With a high-octane lineup and an immersive festival experience, this is an event that the electronic music fans won’t want to miss.
