Dallas Green, born in St. Catherines, Ontario, and known professionally as City and Colour, is a wide-ranging solo artist whose music spans multiple genres, including indie rock, pop-rock, alternative-indie rock, and alternative singer-songwriter. Green is also known for his band Alexisonfire, alongside the members Jordan Hastings, Chris Steele, George Pettit, Jesse Ingelevics, and Wade MacNeil. Additionally, Green is in a Canadian-American duo-group You+Me, including members Dallas Green and Alecia Moore (P!nk).
City and Colour debuted their first full-length album, Sometimes, on October 4, 2005. The album quickly achieved a platinum-certification in 2006 and has produced standout tracks in Green’s career, such as “Hello, I’m In Delaware,” “Day Old Hate,” and “Comin’ Home.” This album is a completely different sound than his work with Alexisonfire. It’s nakedly-passionate and as forceful as it is fragile.
Since the releasing their first album, they have been consistently putting out more music and touring year after year, with a total of 19 singles, two EPs and 10 full-length albums. City and Colour’s latest offering, “The Love Still Held Me Near,” was released on March 31, 2023, consisting of the three standout songs “Meant to Be,” “Underground,” and “F****d it Up.”
Throughout City and Colours career, they have had 10 nominations and three all-time JUNO Award wins:
