On February 21st, 2025- Brenden Starr released his newest single “The Freshmen” which is an original single that was created in the 90’s by The Verve Pipe. Starr gave the 90’s that modern touch the single truly needed and brought back nostalgic feelings once I started the track! Listening to Starr’s vocals throughout the track was so captivating, emotional, and almost like youthful in a way because he added that extra touch the single needed to come back alive. The single balances well with adding a modern touch to it and also keeping the originals integrity! Literally transports the listener back to simpler times which grapples at the heart because sometimes we don’t like seeing modern musicians re-doing music that we grew up listening to, but Starr did an immaculate job with this release!
