The “Unfinished Business” tour: NERIAH brings her sparkle, shine and love to Toronto

On March 4, 2025, NERIAH performed an intimate and unforgettable night in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on the Rivoli stage. Dressed in a black leather dress, stunning sparkly high-heeled boots, and beautiful glittery eye-makeup, she was shining on stage all night. Opening her show with the title of the tour, Unfinished Business,” she brings a warm welcome to each and every fan in the crowd. Touring across North America, U.K., and Ireland, NERIAH is on her very first headlining tour. She was engaged with the crowd like an arena artist, getting fans dancing and singing with her the whole night, while even having conversations throughout her show.

She finished off her set with “Sh!tshow,” leaving the stage as fans—including myself—immediately screamed for an encore. Returning back to the stage for a three-song encore, she reinvigorated the audience with “You Won’t Forget About Me, Right?,” “How Do I Get Clean,” and “Lego Blocks.” Even after exiting the stage for the final time, NERIAH dedicated time to stay after the show for autographs and photos with every single fan, making sure everyone got a chance to meet her and share a small conversation. She truly went above and beyond to give everyone a special experience.

Performing all of her biggest hits, NERIAH also performed some unreleased music, including “Napoleon Complex,” “Good Enough,” and “Gone Girl,” which is set for release on March 7, 2025.

A Small Conversation with NERIAH:

I was honoured to have a brief conversation with NERIAH prior to the show about her experience headlining and promoting her own tour.

It is so much fun. I think it’s nothing that I would have expected… Just being able to meet fans. Before, being on a support tour and being there, it’s so great to meet such new fans, but being at a show, no matter how big or small the room is, where people are there for you—and they know all of your lyrics—it’s the most surreal feeling.”

With releasing a string of singles through 2024, including “Red Flag,” “Don’t Let Go,” “Driving Weather” and “First Time,” she stated, “I think what I’m most excited for is actually ‘Gone Girl’ that comes out this friday, but all of them have been added to the set list…it’s just a new era for me to try a bunch of new things, and they’re definitely the songs that fans like the most.

Speaking about the collaboration process for her last single release, “Only Always,” with Jake Miller, “It’s been unbelievable, Jake has become such a close friend, and we have so much more that we’re working on…He’s such a pleasure to work with, and I feel like I learned so much from him.

We’re definitely, I think working on an EP first…we’re simultaneously working on an EP and the next album at the same time…we’re still trying to figure it all out, but there will definitely be another album release.

Curious to know who her biggest musically influenced artist is? “Probably Julia Michaels.

NERIAH’s very first single, Loner,” debuted November 20, 2020, and ever since then she’s been releasing singles, EP’s and albums consistently. NERIAH’s debut EP in 2022, This Is How The World Made Me, consists of eight songs, relating to real-life events. After releasing more singles and EP’s, she debuted her full-length album, Cause of Death (Deluxe), on November 17, 2023, including an impressive 24-song tracklist. NERIAH’s musical journey has been substantial and there’s still so much more to come. Her newest single “Only Always” featuring Jake Miller recently released on January 23, 2025.

CMAGIC5, Toronto-based singer-songwriter, brought her pop-rock energy to the stage, singing some of her new songs, including “Happy Never After” and “Passenger Princess,” both released early this year. She incorporated a couple of cover songs in her set. The first cover she performed was “Sk8er Boi” originally from Avril Lavigne, and the other cover was “You Belong With Me,” originally by Taylor Swift. CMAGIC5 was extremely energetic with the crowd and even included a little pop quiz when she finished her set, asking questions about herself and her music, rewarding winners with T-shirts from her merch collection. She closed her set with her song “Game Boy” from her 2024 album Memories.

Izza, an LA-based singer-songwriter, showcased her sparkly princess look on the Rivoli stage, being the first opener for NERIAH. Kicking off her set with her song “Gentlemen,” she launched into “Run!” and “X-Ray” with passion that radiated. She was great at getting the crowd ready for the show, leaving everything out on the stage. Izza’s stage present was phenomenal, leaving fans craving more. While waiting for the next performer to come on, Izza sat on the stage and handed out signed posters to everyone.
