Good Neighbours release shimmering new single “Starry Eyed”

Rising British duo Good Neighbours are back with a brand-new single, “Starry Eyed,” out now via Capitol Records. The track lands hot on the heels of their first North American tour with Foster The People and arrives just in time for their highly anticipated “Adolescence Tour,” set to kick off in the U.S. this April.

Written during a whirlwind stay in Los Angeles this past January, “Starry Eyes” captures the rush and vulnerability of meeting someone who leaves you completely awestruck. “It’s about that star-struck feeling someone gives you the first time you meet them,” the band shares. “There’s a vulnerability in that encounter that’s both scary and exciting, and we tried to capture the thrill that comes with it.”

True to its name, “Starry Eyed” shimmers with euphoric synths, heartfelt vocals, and an irresistible beat—making it another instant indie-pop anthem from Scott Verrill and Oli Fox. Having road-tested the track on their recent U.S. tour, the duo knew they had something special. Fans immediately connected with it live and on social media, leading to an outpouring of demand for its release.

“There was this wild response every time we played it,” says the band. “It felt only right to put it out for everyone to hear with the same spontaneity and energy that the song was created in.”

The release of “Starry Eyed” comes as Good Neighbours prepare to launch the U.S. leg of their “Adolescence Tour,” kicking off Sunday, April 20, at High Noon Saloon in Madison, WI. The six-date run will make stops in Urbana Oklahoma City, Fayetteville, Nashville, and Orlando, before they take the tour to Australia and New Zealand in May. Fans can also catch them on major festival stages this summer at SummerFest, Hinterland Festival, and Osheaga.

Good Strangers are no strangers to momentum. After exploding onto the scene with their platinum-certified debut single “Home”—the fastest RIAA Platinum debut of 2024—they’ve racked up over 500 million streams and 2 billion TikTok views. The single spent 11 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and nearly 40 weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart, becoming one of the most played songs on the U.S. radio last year.

Their follow-up single “Ripple” is climbing the charts and recently earned a spot in Rolling Stone’s “Songs You Need To Know.” The band also dropped an Apple Music Sessions EP, featuring a live version of “Ripple” and a dreamy cover of Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True.”
