Baroness announce “The Red & Blue Tour” celebrating landmark albums

Progressive metal trailblazers Baroness have announced a spring North American tour titled “The Red & Blue Tour,” celebrating the band’s seminal Red Album (2007) and Blue Record (2009). Following two sold-out performances in Philadelphia this past December, where the band performed both albums in full, Baroness is bringing the experience to fans across the Midwest and East Coast.

The tour kicks off May 7 in Baltimore, Maryland, and continues through the end of May with stops in major cities including Brooklyn, Chicago, Detroit, and Toronto. Tickets went on sale Friday, February 7 at 10 a.m. local time via YourBaroness.com.

Known for blending crushing riffs with intricate melodies and psychedelic textures, Baroness will revisit deep cuts and fan favorites such as “Isak,” “Wanderlust,” and “The Sweetest Curse.” The show promises to be an immersive experience for longtime fans and newcomers alike.

“In December, for our annual Philly pre-holiday show, we performed our first two full-length albums: Red and Blue,” frontman John Baizley shared. “It was a great experience, unearthing the deeper cuts from those records that had faded from our setlist. It offered a rare opportunity to play some of those songs for the first time ever outside the studio.”

Baizley added, “While I’ve never been overly interested in pure nostalgia, we’ve always found it illuminating to bridge the gap between present and past Baroness by learning and updating our earliest material. After the overwhelming response from the Philadelphia shows, we’re looking forward to taking Red and Blue on the road and sharing the experience with old and new friends alike.”

Each night will feature exclusive tour-only vinyl and limited-edition merchandise featuring new artwork from Baizley, whose visual identity has been a hallmark of the band’s aesthetic.
