Weekend celebration of music, adventure, and outdoor culture returns bigger than ever May 31 to June 1.

After a wildly successful debut in 2024, the Outside Festival is set to return to Civic Center Park in downtown Denver from May 31 to June 1, 2025, bringing with a bold blend of live music, outdoor adventure, film, gear, and culture. Presented by Capital One and REI Co-op, this year’s lineup is already turning heads with Khruangbin and Lord Huron locked in as headliners alongside Sylvan Esso, Trampled by Turtles, Waxahatchee, and many more.
What started as a local celebration of all things outdoors has quickly evolved into a premier national event—drawing over 18,000 attendees last year and generating $16 million for Denver economy. For 2025, organizers are planning for more than 25,000 festivalgoers, expanding programming into Lincoln Veterans Memorial park, the Denver Art Museum, and the renovated Denver Public Library.
But Outside Festival isn’t just about music. Attendees can expect a two-day immersion into adventure films, athlete panels, climbing experiences, yoga classes, workshops, gear demos, and a dedicated kids’ zone. Plus, immersive brand activations and a curated food lineup will ensure every kind of festival experience—whether you’re here for the music, the gear, or just the mountain-town vibe.
The weekend is preceded by the Outside Summit, running May 29 to May 30 which brings together industry leaders, creatives, and entrepreneurs to explore the future of the outdoor economy. This year’s Summit will feature over 30 high-impact speakers including Netflix co-found Reed Hastings, The North Face’s Caroline Brown, and outdoor trailblazers like Albert Lin, Nicole McLaughlin, and Luis Benitez. The event also hosts Outside Ignite, a $100,000 startup pitch competition spotlighting innovation in outdoor tech, gear, and wellness.
“We’re beyond excited to bring the Outside Festival and Summit back to Denver in 2025,” said Mayor Mike Johnston. “Last year was a resounding success, and this year will be even more impactful for the community.”
