On April 10th, 2025– Glasgow-based twin-sibling duo (Rachael and Paul Swinton) Cloth announced their newest single “Pink Silence” with an official video that features guitar and synth from Adrian Utley and guitar from Stuart Braithwaite. On April 25th, the musicians will be releasing their album “Pink Silence” via Rock Action. Pre-save the album here! I’ve never heard of Cloth before, but after listening to “Pink Silence” it reminds me of my mind when I was younger where I would overthink consistently and I fell in love with those isolated moments, but at the same time longed for intimacy with another person when I did struggle mentally.

“The term ‘Pink Silence’ is something I came up with to describe a particular time and feeling – those moments late in the evening or very early in the morning, when the sun is rising or setting. Depending on your mindset at a given time, those moments can either feel blissfully serene, or charged with a sense of foreboding. Those times are always beautiful, but the experience of them can be very different, especially if your mind is awash with overthinking – as mine often is. I really liked the idea that something so natural and beautiful could have such an emotional duality to it. The intimacy of those moments also tend to feel supercharged when shared with another person, so it felt right for the song to be a love story – one which plays out from dusk until dawn against the backdrop of pink silence.“ – Paul Swinton
