Daniel Seavey takes over Boston’s Big Night Live with an unforgettable set

With “The Second Wind Tour” in full swing, Daniel Seavey turned Big Night Live into an unforgettable Saturday night!

It was a slightly rainy day when I made my way into Big Night Live. Once I got inside the venue, I could hear the pre-show music and the fans were singing along super loudly before Seavey even went on. The crowd was already very hyped and I knew it was going to be such a great night.

The show started off with the song “Waves,” and everyone was super into it. One moment that really stuck out to me was when Seavey performed “Second Wave” and sang it directly to someone in the crowd; You could really feel the connection he has with the fans.

It was really special knowing that this tour was for his debut album. I have followed Seavey since his “American Idol” days and then through Why Don’t We, so seeing him out there doing his own thing felt like a full-circle moment. His passion was undeniable and it definitely showed in every part of his performance.

One of the standout moments of the show was when Seavey picked a song from a fan in the crowd. He ended up performing, “Stacy’s Mom.” He recorded his vocals and instruments live and looped everything right there. It was really impressive and just shows how insanely talented he is.

I listened to his song “The Older You Get” on repeat last year, so hearing it live was definitely a highlight of mine. The energy in the room when the song started was so unreal. It was one of those tracks that you cannot help but sing along to—not to mention, his vocals are absolutely incredible live!

After the concert had ended and about 30 minutes had passed, I was waiting outside for my ride when, all of a sudden, Seavey came down the stairs with his guitar and surprised everyone by performing one more song. It was such a spontaneous and personal moment that made the night feel even more memorable. The crowd gathered around and it was such a perfect way to end the night!

Before Seavey took the stage, Sombr warmed up the crowd. Their performance set the tone for the night, with the audience already hyped from the start. The standout moment was definitely when they performed their big song, “back to friends.” The energy was so contagious and you could tell the crowd was fully into it!
