Tegan & Sara are twin sisters from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, who debuted their duo group career straight out of high-school and have been together ever since. Now, in 2025, they’ve been in the music industry for more than 25 years, and have sold over one million records across ten studio albums, performing on global stages at Coachella and the Academy Awards. 

From releasing their first full-length album, Under Feet Like Ours, in 1999 to releasing a 20th anniversary edition, they’re a classic duo that everyone loves. With their versatile sound in music, they play a variety of genres:  pop, rock, alternative, indie, alternative singer-songwriter, new wave, post-punk revival, adult alternative pop-rock, left field pop, indie rock. 

The duo also launched the “Tegan and Sara Foundation,” which works day and night to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ women and girls. This mission is a commitment to feminism, racial, social, and gender justice. This foundation raises awareness and funds the rights for equality and justice throughout the program. From this movement, they have gotten nominated and won a JUNO Humanitarian Award.
