Khruangbin & Lord Huron headline 2025 Outside Festival in downtown Denver: A weekend of music, mountains, and movement

Following a wildly successful debut last year, the Outside Festival returns to downtown Denver’s Civic Center Park from May 31 to June 1, 2025, promising an even bigger, bolder, and more immersive celebration of music, movement, and the outdoors. Presented by Capitol One and REI Co-op, the second annual festival will be headlined by indie sensations Khruangbin and Lord Huron, with additional sets by Sylvan Esso, Trampled by Turtles, Waxahatchee, Neal Francis, Hazlett, and more.

More than just a music event, Outside Festival is a multi-sensory, multi-dimensional experience built for anyone who thrives outside. Attendees can expect adventure film screenings, athlete panels, climbing walls, yoga sessions, workshops, gear demos, and a dedicated kids’ zone, all surrounded by top-tier food vendors and immersive brand activations from leaders in the outdoor industry.

New this year, the festival is expanding its footprint to include Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park, the Denver Art Museum, and the renovated Denver Public Library, accommodating an anticipated 25,000+ attendees—a significant leap from last year’s 18,000.

The 2025 event also includes the Outside Summit—taking place May 29-30—the outdoor industry’s leading networking conference. The Summit will feature a powerful lineup of speakers include Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings, The North Face’s Caroline Brown, National Geographic’s Albert Lin, Sen. John Hickenlooper, and more. Panels will explore innovation, equity, and sustainability across the recreation and wellness space.

“This festival celebrates Colorado’s identity as a leader in outdoor culture,” said Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, noting the $66 billion contribution to the state’s outdoor economy makes annually. “We’re thrilled to welcome the Outside Festival and Summit back to Denver for another year of inspiration and community.”

Tickets officially went on sale to the general public Friday, December 13, starting at $99 for weekend general admission. VIP packages—which include perks like exclusive viewing areas, private food vendors, and fast-lane entry—start at $150/day or $275 for the full weekend. Capital One and REI Co-op Mastercard holders enjoyed a 48-hour presale beginning two days prior, plus early bird pricing, discounts on merchandise and concessions, and lounge access during the event.

All attendees can explore the REI Village, a pop-up hub of discovery featuring product demos, outdoor activities, and community storytelling. And with children under 12 admitted free, Outside Festival remains a family-friendly event committed to inclusivity and accessibility.

Behind the scenes, the festival is produced by Outside Interactive Inc. in partnership with the State of Colorado’s Outdoor Recreation Industry Office, Visit Denver, and the production powerhouse Groundswell Experimental and Superfly.

Whether you’re drawn to the music, the mountain culture, or the mission of connecting more people to nature, Outside Festival 2025 is set to be a landmark weekend for outdoor lovers of all stripes.
