In a city where music and cuisine are equally revered, the Governors Ball Music Festival is returning bigger, bolder, and more flavorful than ever. Celebrating its 15th anniversary and its third year Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the 2025 edition of Gov Ball will run form Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8, promising three days of unforgettable music, art, and a feast for the senses.
This year’s festival—presented by Coca-Cola—features a stacked musical lineup with Tyler, The Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, Hozier, Benson Boone, Feid, Glass Animals, Clairo, Young Miko, The Backseat Lovers, MK.gee, and more than 50 performers across genres.
But music isn’t the only headliner. The 2025 food and beverage lineup is a full-blown tribute to New York City’s unmatched culinary diversity. “One of the best aspects about New York City is the availability of fantastic and incredibly diverse food and drinks at your fingertips,” said Tom Russell, co-founder of Governors Ball. “The goal for this year’s festival is to bring that same unique blend of flavor, variety, and quality, mirroring what makes Queens and NYC such renowned food destinations.”
Fans of the Queens Night Market won’t have to wait until Saturday to get their fix. Festival-goers can enjoy weekend-long pop-ups from vendors like Mao’s Bao, Eemas Cuisine, La Braza, Twisted Potato, and Matylda’s Polish Food (take it from a New Yorker herself, their pierogies are a weekly craving), bringing global flavor to the heart of Queens.
Highlights from the full culinary lineup include:
Roberta’s Pizza: New York City’s wood-fired legend.
Fan Fan Doughnuts: Innovative and Instagram-worthy.
Cafe Habana: Cuban classics that always hit. And if you get a cuban sandwich the first day of Governor’s Ball, I can assure you that you will struggle wanting anything else all weekend, so maybe save the best for last.
Butchery & Beyond: Elevated comfort food. A staple at most music festivals across the East Coast, their pulled pork and brisket items generate a line in front of truck all day long at events. I personally like their Honey Dijon Crispy Chicken Sandwich, I’ve yet to find a taste comparable.
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream: Artisanal scoops to beat the heat. If 2025 is anything like previous years, the 90-degree weather will make this a fan-favorite all three days. I suggest their “Earl Grey Tea” option for a refreshing treat!
Lobster Rolls & More, Empanada Papa, Gotham Burger Social Club, and many more.
And that’s just scratching the surface. From vegan delights to smash burgers, Thai noodles to dumplings, Gov Ball has curated a menu as diverse as its lineup—and my stomach is already growling with anticipation.
Beverage partners are also showing up in style. Cabot Creamery is handing out free pimento grilled cheese bites from the Cabot Cruiser, and Stella Artois is teaming up with Hot Ones to offer spicy popcorn chicken and fries for those brave enough to test their heat tolerance.
The bar scene is equally enticing. Enjoy ice-cold Stella Artois, Kona Big Wave, NÜTRL Vodka Seltzers, BeatBox, and summer favorites like Smirnoff ICE. Cocktail connoisseurs can indulge in pours form Espolòn Tequila, Hennessy, Jim Beam, 400 Conejos Mezcal, and more.
