On May 19, 2025- Of Mice & Men performed at the Music Farm in Charleston, South Carolina with special guests; Gore and Until I Wake. I’ve been really excited about this show because I knew a few friends of mine were coming to the event. I got to see one of my good friends Ian and he came to the show with his girlfriend to celebrate his birthday! What’s the best way to celebrate a birthday? At an Of Mice & Men show!
I didn’t get a chance to watch Gore perform sadly because I was coming from work and Charleston’s traffic was absolutely insane! My friends got to see them perform and they said by the end of the set they needed to meet the band and take photos with them because their performance was that mind blowing with how the vocalist was so versatile. We love to see female fronted bands succeed!

Until I Wake put on one of the best performances I’ve seen in a very long time. The band recently had Cody re-join and from the last time I saw Cody perform his vocals improved drastically. Each member in the band is so interactive with the crowd especially Cody that consistently kept his gaze on the attendees throughout the whole set. Alex (Drummer) made me exhausted just by looking at him because of how energetic he is. Ryan (Bassist) and August (Guitarist) kept me on my toes during their set because of how charismatic they are on stage because I didn’t want to miss one moment of them performing. I actually went into the wall of death during their set and I was so scared that I left instantly before I got injured. It was honestly amazing to see this band again after a whole year and they are constantly improving their craft in the music industry.
The last time I saw Of Mice & Men was I believe last year when they performed with Architects in Atlanta! I haven’t really listened to this band throughout the years, so I didn’t really know the songs that were performed, but sadly my camera battery died during Until I Wakes set, so I was unable to capture images of Of Mice & Men’s performance. Aaron Pauley (Vocals) has memorizing vocals that truly captivated myself and the attendees at the event as I actually for the first time ever sat back and watched the band perform instead of focusing on taking photos. This experience truly taught me that I love just being able to watch the performance and have nothing else to worry about. I got to hang with my friends while Of Mice & Men were performing which made the whole experience more memorable in my opinion. Of Mice & Men had immaculate light production at times through their set that I was able to see each musician on stage performing their hearts out. Being an attendee in this situation allowed me to be part of the crowd and engage with the crowd more. I honestly walked around during their set and asked attendees what their favorite song is by Of Mice & Men and here were some answers:
- Second & Sebring
- Bones Exposed
- Pieces
- Anchor
- Gravedancer
- Defy
Like I stated before; I never really listened to this band before, but I do know Second & Sebring! Being able to interact with the crowd while watching them enjoy one of their favorite bands perform is why I love what I do. This is why I love going to shows. That night was a whole new experience for me. I was able to watch the whole show and not have to worry about going home and having to edit for hours. I was going home with goosebumps and an adrenaline rush that made me want to re-live the whole night.
