Phoneboy brought the noise, and Boston loved it

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, fans packed into Brighton Music Hall for a sold-out stop on Phoneboy’s “Heartbreak Designer” tour, welcoming the band back to Boston. Despite the rain, you could feel the excitement from the concertgoers as they wait to see their beloved band ready to take stage.

Opening the night was Double Standard, a rising all-girl band with an electrifying sound that immediately grabbed the crowd’s attention. Each member brought her own unique personality and style to the stage, and together they created a dynamic that left a lasting impression. They played songs from their debut album – Double Standard.

After Double Standard’s killing stage, Inoha – another band who is killing it in the entertainment industry – took stage. The band delivered a performance full of energy, confidence, and crowd connection. Their stage presence was undeniable, and through constant interaction and contagious energy, they gave fans exactly the experience they were hoping for.

Ending the night and the band everyone was waiting for was Phoneboy. The band brought the energy by singing hits from their new album “Heartbreak Designer” and many fan favorites off their out albums. The night was unforgettable, not just for the fans, but for the band as well, who were visibly moved by the loud cheers and support from their family members in the audience.

The moment Phoneboy stepped on stage, the energy in the room escalated. Kicking off the show with the lights off, they built suspense as the crowd roared with anticipation before filling the room with cheers. From there, they dove straight into fan favorites like “Hey Kid,” where band member Ricky’s mom even joined in on some of the iconic lines, adding a special touch. Another hit from their debut EP, “Nevermind,” had the audience singing and jumping along, fully caught up in the electric atmosphere.

The fans brought insane energy, making the sold-out Boston show a night full of love and connection for the bands. As Boston marked the second-to-last stop on their “Heartbreak Designer” spring tour, the excitement was mixed with a bit of sadness, but don’t worry, there’s still a chance to catch Phoneboy live this summer on their upcoming tour.
