Bludfest 2025 – how was it?

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending Bludfest 2025, which, in my opinion, is one of the most “fan centered” festivals there are. In the heart of Milton Keynes, The National Bowl was prepared for the festival of a lifetime! The area was made extremely accessible, setting up multiple large car parks, clear signposts throughout not only the park but the city too, and knowledgeable staff members were left down all exit roads to help navigate people to bus stops or areas to call taxis. The festival consisted of three stages: Main Stage, Stage 2, and a small acoustic stage located next to the Ferris wheel that not many people knew about, called the Camden Stage.

My favourite area, however, was the village; displaying many pop-up stores full of fun activities, a “Production Futures” stall which encourages you to learn about lighting, fairground games, a half pipe, and displayed right in the center was the actual car from the “lowlife” music video. The queues were long all day for the “museum” of sorts, with fans waiting to see items used and inspirations for Yungblud’s new album Idols. I think the most meaningful area there was the “Idols” wall, where fans could sign their names and leave messages for Yungblud.

A wall filled with colorful messages and signatures from fans, featuring the text 'TELL ME YOUR IDOLS' prominently displayed.

Now to talk about the main events: the concerts. Elin Hall opened up not only the main stage but the whole festival at 1 p.m., drawing in massive eager crowds! Starting shortly after was Reece Young over at Stage 2, kicking his set off at 1:30 p.m.

The anticipation for Yungblud’s set was present all day, amplifying during Chase Atlantic‘s fantastic set. Chase Atlantic was one of the bands I was most excited to see from the whole lineup and they did not disappoint. All of their most popular songs were played, which had everyone jumping and screaming, carrying that energy throughout their entire set.

Fans were waiting patiently all day, and let me tell you: Yungblud was definitely worth the wait. “Hello Heaven, Hello” was the opening song, warming and hyping the crowd up with the massive amounts of confetti during the song as he ran up and down the stage. From then, it was right into a newer banger – “Lovesick Lullaby,” which had the crowd growing more hyper as they sung along to every word. Yungblud also brought Billy Idol on stage with him to perform a cover of Idol’s song “White Wedding,” which everyone was very excited for when it was announced. The energy for the entire set never faltered and all the fans I managed to talk to had the best time as it ended with fireworks.

I would happily say that Bludfest 2025 was one of the best festivals I have ever been to and I will definitely be returning next year.
