On June 27, 2025, The Failsafe released their new cover track “The Ballad Of Mona Lisa” which was originally created by Panic! At The Disco. The Failsafe gave this single a more modern touch to it with rock elements, creating an intimate yet dynamic single that can capture the attention of new listeners. Jesse Weber (Vocals) created a cinematic atmosphere with his vocals which allows the listener to create a vivid imagery of what he is trying to express. You sense vulnerability and internal struggle within the vocals that carry the emotional aspect compared to the original song created years ago.
“We chose this song as the compilation was originally going to be a Panic! At the Disco theme and all the good ones from A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out were taken. Looking into it more I was not able to find a good rock version of this song. Most were just direct covers or the original. It seems like a good idea to add a heavy modern twist to one of my favorite P!ATD songs! ” – Jesse Weber, lead vocalist.
