After the Burial unleashes ferocious new single “Hum From The Hollow”

Progressive metal juggernauts After The Burial have returned with a vengeance. Today, the band released their blistering new single, Hum From The Hollow,” marking their first new music in over two years, and it’s nothing short of a sonic sledgehammer.

A relentless track driven by surgical eight string riffing, cavernous rhythm work, and frontman Anthony Notarmaso’s signature roar, “Hum From The Hollow” dives deep into themes of emotional collapse and inner chaos. The song arrives alongside a stark, visceral visualizer and serves as a clear message – After The Burial is back, pissed off, and pulling no punches.

This song is one of many from the new album that have the same theme: pissed off,” shares guitarist Trent Hafdahl. “Sometimes you have to strip it all down and give the fans something to let their anger out to, so that’s what we did here.

With Trent’s jagged, math inflected guitar work leading the charge, Adrian Oropeza (bass) and Dan Carle (drums) lay down a brutally tight low end that amplifies every emotional gut punch. It’s a track that’s as cathartic as it is crushing.

The release sets the stage for the band’s upcoming North American tour supporting We Came As Romans (Kyle Forever) on the “Bad Luck” World Tour. Kicking off July 22 in Toronto, the stacked bill will run through major cities across the U.S. and Canada, delivering a full force experience fans won’t want to miss.
