A dopamine charged cocktail of throwback pop punk and modern anxiety, “Freaking Out A Bit” explores everything from emotional burnout to the overstimulation of life online, all without ever losing the trademark levity that Goldfinger fans have come to love. The result is a fast-paced, feel everything anthem tailor-made for windows down drives and late night overthinking.

John Feldmann, Goldfinger’s frontman and sonic architect, had this to say about the collaboration:

“Freaking Out A Bit is a song I wrote with Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus… I had the concept for a song and a chorus, and they came in and brought it to life! Mark wrote the best verses, and Travis turned the beat around in the bridge, which gave it a whole new life of its own. Those guys are some of my best friends and I love them. So grateful I got to do this song with them I’m so glad it’s finally coming out!”

A longtime collaborator with both Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus, Feldmann continues to cement his legacy not just as a frontman but as one of the genre’s most influential behind the scenes forces, he is responsible for shaping the sound of everyone from blink-182 to emerging pop-punk upstarts.

“Freaking Out A Bit” marks a bold new chapter for Goldfinger, a band that’s been mixing skank beats and stadium hooks since the mid-90s. From their early MTV breakthrough with “Here in Your Bedroom” to festival mainstays like “Superman,” Goldfinger has always known how to ride the line between fun and fury.

Fans can catch them live at the sold out Vans Warped Tour stop in Long Beach, happening July 26–27 at Shoreline Waterfront. For more updates, follow the band on Instagram at @goldfingermusic.
