On June 27, 2025, metalcore band from Cleveland, OH, firebrand released their newest single “Orbit” via Ghost Killer Entertainment alongside an official music video. I personally had never heard of this band before, but we all know the best metalcore bands come out of Ohio. “Orbit” starts off with a synth sound that resembles outer space, in my opinion, which fits perfectly for the song title and the meaning behind the whole song. The vocals in this single have an authentic vibe to them that expresses the emotions of being alone, and that loneliness feels like you’re floating through space alone. The vastness of space could be a metaphor for this single because it’s filled with isolation, and the soundscape of the song truly represents the void feeling.
| “The song, “Orbit”, relates the feeling of falling out of touch with someone important to you to floating through space alone. Though the artist/band is primarily metalcore, this song is a catchy “Octane rock” / hard rock track.” – firebrand |
