The Great South Bay Music Festival returns for its 17th anniversary at Long Island’s Shorefront Park

Long Island’s biggest summer celebration of music, art, and community spirit is back as The Great South Bay Music Festival returns for its 17th anniversary. Taking place July 24 to July 27, 2025, at the scenic Shorefront Park in Patchogue Village, the four-day festival promises an unforgettable weekend filled with legendary performers, rising stars, family fun, and local community spirit.

Presented by Voodoo Ranger, the festival continues to hold its place as Long Island’s most beloved multi-genre event, with 55 performers across three stages delivering everything from pop-punk and alternative rock to jam bands, reggae, yacht rock, and new wave synth-pop.

Thursday, July 24 – Alternative rock throwback
4 p.m.–10 p.m.

The festival kicks off with an explosive night of 2000s alternative rock anthems, headlined by Taking Back Sunday. The emotional intensity continues with Say Anything‘s quirky lyricism, Gym Class Heroes‘ infectious hip-hop and pop-punk fusion, and Head Automatica‘s synth-heavy alt-rock grooves. Fans of early aughts rock will feel like they’ve stepped back in time.

Friday, July 25 – Rock-reggae beach party
4 p.m.–11 p.m.

The annual Rock-Reggae Beach Party brings the ambiance of an island getaway to Long Island with Damian “Jr. Gong” & Stephen Marley headlining the night. Joining them are reggae favorites J Boog and Long Island’s own Oogee Wawa, while The Elovaters keep the crowd swaying with feel-good reggae-rock anthems.

Saturday, July 26 – Jam day
1 p.m.–11 p.m.

A tradition at the festival, Jam Day will feature a stacked lineup for fans who love improvisational music and genre-bending sets. Legendary jam icons moe. and Umphrey’s McGee headline, supported by funk-heavy performances from Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and groove-laden Eggy. Expect extended riffs, seamless transitions, and a irresistible groove rippling through the crowd.

Sunday, July 27 – Yacht rock and ’80s beach party
2 p.m.–10 p.m.

The weekend closes with a nostalgic yacht rock and ’80s beach party hosted by WLIR & SiriusXM DJ Larry “The Duck” Dunn. Headliners include Men at Work, Naked Eyes, and Ambrosia. The iconic Yacht Rock Revue will deliver smooth classics, while Strangelove – The Depeche Mode Experience brings a synth-driven twist to the day.

The festival isn’t just for adults; it’s a family-friendly event featuring a full KidZone Stage on Saturday and Sunday. Highlights include Getting Zen with Erin, Funky Town Playground Band, Rockin’ Ron the Friendly Pirate, and fan-favorite Cheryl the Stiltwalker.

True to its mission of supporting local talent, over 27 emerging artists will perform throughout the weekend, including Robinson Treacher, Chris Ruben Band, Gamblers, Escaper, Nikki Silva, Nonstop to Cairo, and more.

Foodies will enjoy a diverse gourmet food court, artisan craft markets, and multiple beer, wine, and adult beverage tents. This year also introduces a pop-up from Happy Days Dispensary, New York State’s highest-rated recreational cannabis dispensary.

The Great South Bay Music Festival continues its tradition of giving back to the Long Island community. A percentage of every ticket sold will be donated to the GSB-Stony Brook Cancer Center Fund, which raised over a quarter of a million dollars to date. Additionally, booth spaces will be donated to local nonprofits raising awareness for causes including pet rescue, battered women’s advocacy, and homelessness support.
