In a realm where beats meet purpose and music is more than sound – it’s a movement – Neon Owl has taken flight once more, this time into the skies of recorded legacy. Born of the Bay Area’s shimmering creative heartbeat, the beloved music collective announces the arrival of its next incarnation: Neon Owl Records.
For over a decade, Neon Owl has quietly but powerfully woven a sanctuary for rising stars through their Open Door Sessions, heartfelt workshops, and spirited panels that placed dreams in direct orbit with festival titans and industry sages. Now, that mission is embodied in a label where artistry and authenticity walk hand in hand.
The inaugural release, “Fallen Angel,” a stirring collaboration between Hidden Axis and Wisner, glides in on wings forged in resilience and soul. Hidden Axis, the producer behind the track, first appeared on Neon Owl’s radar during the isolation of the pandemic, joining a virtual ODS with little more than potential and a spark. That spark has since ignited a path of meteoric rise – from her debut on paradise music to touring alongside Elephante, remixing for HALIENE, and releasing on SLANDER’s Heaven Sent.

Co-founder Elaine Huang, whose intuitive eye has long guided Neon Owl’s artist-forward ethos, recalls the moment she met Hidden Axis: “From the very first moment I met Julie at her first Open Door Sessions VIRTUAL, I knew she was something special… I remember introducing her as the artist that will ‘headline EDC one day.’”
Joined by Blake Wisner, whose voice slices straight to the soul, the pair delivers a track that aches and uplifts in equal measure – a sonic introduction to a label determined to make listeners feel.
But Neon Owl Records is more than just a place to release songs. It is a home for those who walk between the lines of hope and hustle, and a megaphone for artists whose voices might otherwise be whispered into the void. The imprint will continue to feature creators cultivated through ODS and expand outward to those whose missions harmonize with theirs.
True to its roots, Neon Owl continues to use its wings to shelter not just sound, but cause – from mental health to animal rescue and global relief. Every beat carries purpose. Every release, a ripple of impact.
In an industry often overshadowed by noise, Neon Owl Records choses resonance.
