Public Circuit digs deep with new single “To The Grave”

Public Circuit’s latest single “To The Grave” is an ’80s time capsule of synths and shadowy vocals. Close your eyes and you will be transported to a late-night MTV rotation, somewhere between The Cure and Depeche Mode. “To The Grave” is the second single to drop from their upcoming album Modern Church, which will be released September 12 via à La Carte Records.

The New York City post-punk trio describes it as a song about the weight we carry when things are left unresolved: trauma, heartbreak, even gender identity.

The music video entirely matches the vibe of “To The Grave,” with the trio venturing into the woods outside New York City with a shovel and a VHS camera. The result is a grainy, lo-fi burial ritual giving equal parts confession and drama project.

Public Circuit hits the road this fall, with tour dates across the U.S. and Europe, including a hometown stop in New York City at TV Eye on November 5 to celebrate the release of Modern Church.
