Friday, 1 of August, Corbyn Besson, member of the multi-billion streaming and arena headlining ex-boy band Why Don’t We, released his brand new single: “SUMMER” featuring Jeremih.
The addictive anthem is a good fusion of R&B and pop that’s equal parts vibey and vulnerable, with Besson’s smooth vocals complemented by Jeremih’s ‘swagger.’ The song definitely embodies the feeling of summer, with a hint of flirty feeling being conveyed to the listener – I can definitely imagine it being used as background music to someone’s edited summer recap.
This single came out alongside the news of Besson’s debut solo EP, due to be released in Autumn via BMG. Over the past year, Corbyn Besson has gone on an immersive creative journey that led to a brand new type of daring, creative work which his fans seem to really like. Blending his smooth vocals with a feel-good form of R&B-pop, his debut EP is expected to be both warmly nostalgic and irresistibly forward-thinking. With a bold new sound from the singer, high-profile collaborators, and an authentic creative voice, Besson’s eagerly awaited solo chapter is happening right before our eyes.
“This song is my ultimate summer anthem. Having Jeremih on it takes it to another level as I’ve been a fan of his for years,” Besson shares. “It’s a feel-good record that brings back all of my favorite memories growing up, and I hope it does the same for my fans.”
Earlier this summer, Corbyn Besson released “Tied Up,” kicking off his solo career with the catchy tune. He also recently collaborated with electronic dance-pop duo Two Friends on their new track “No One Else,” which they debuted together as a surprise for fans during the duo’s sold-out performance at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
