Leeds Festival in a week: Here’s everything you need to know

The countdown to Reading and Leeds Festival has started, who’s ready?

With the lineup having been announced on the December 5, 2024, super-fans secured their tickets long ago and have waited restlessly until this time of the year. Headliners this year include: Bring Me The Horizon, Hozier, Chappell Roan, Limp Bizkit, D Block Europe and Travis Scott. This year, the festival has leaned back towards it’s alternative/rock roots while still having a predominantly pop/indie lineup.

In my opinion, this year’s lineup is one of the best in a long time. If you are looking to fill in some gaps you have in your festival schedule, here are my ‘not to miss’ artists: Ben Ellis, Cliffords, Luvcat, Good Kid, Nieve Ella, Sofia Isella, overpass, and last but not least, Nxdia. The Aux Stage is also one to keep an eye on, hosting live podcasts such as Brittany Broski’s incredibly funny series in conversation with Charley Marlowe on Sunday, and Jaackmaate’s Happy Hour podcast also on Sunday.

This festival has it all, including a photo booth area hosted by BBC Radio 1, where you and your friends can get your pictures taken and printed for free! This area is predominantly located near the BBC Introducing Stage, so keep a look out. If you’re lucky, you will spot smaller artists and bands given slots at the photo booth, where you can get a free photo with them and chat briefly — so make sure to look out for these announcements during the festival! Last year, artists included David Kushner and Crawlers – follow this link to download the festival app and stay up to date on all news, including all set times, merch, official playlists, and more!

But most importantly, enjoy the festival!!!
