On August 12, 2025, Native Sun, based out of NYC, released their newest single, “Adam.” The single has such an addicting tone that truly resembles the beauty and chaos of NYC, where in the blink of an eye everything can pass you by. With this release, the musicians also announced that their debut album, Concrete Language, will be released on September 19 via TODO Records. If you’re a fan of garage rock and punk, Native Sun is the band that you should listen to! Being a fellow person who lived in New York my whole life and recently moved to the South, “Adam” is the one of those singles that encapsulates and gives vivid imagery through lyricism to express how fast life can be, but memories will forever stay with you. “Adam” has a very gritty sound to it towards the end of the single, which could represent the uncertainty of what life can hold and the imperfections, but it expresses those emotions loudly, which allows the listener to understand what the vocalist is trying to state.

“‘Adam’ is a song about friendship in a city that never slows down. People come and go, but the memories stay. It was inspired by one surreal night riding through New York, chasing something we couldn’t name.”Danny Gomez (Vocalist/Guitarist)
