Mayday Parade continues their 20th anniversary celebration with their release of “One Day At A Time,” a reflective and emotionally charged new single from Sad, the second chapter of their three part album trilogy, arriving October 3.

Soaked in nostalgia, “One Day At A Time” embraces life’s inevitable highs and lows while reflecting on the changes that come with growing older. Guitarist Brooks Betts shares: 

“It’s a song about growing through life and getting better as you go. Correcting the past mistakes and understanding that life changes and evolves. It’s self-reflection and knowing that no one is perfect.”

The single follows “Under My Sweater,” a throwback emo anthem that channels the band’s early pop-punk roots while showcasing the introspection and atmosphere that define Sad. Produced once again with longtime collaborators Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount, the album balances soaring hooks with the raw honesty that has made Mayday Parade a cornerstone of the genre.

With over 1.43 billion streams, multiple platinum and gold singles, and a catalog that defined a generation of alternative fans, Mayday Parade remains as vital and energized as ever. They’ll be bringing Sad to audiences worldwide this fall on tour with All Time Low and at the “When We Were Young” festival in Las Vegas.
