20-year-old North Carolina-based artist glaive has announced his highly anticipated new album, Y’ALL, arriving September 26—available now for presave and preorder.
The project is already generating buzz with its first two singles, “Appalachia” and “Asheville.” Stereogum hailed “Asheville” as “one of glaive’s strongest singles,” and Grimy Goods noted that his “jittery-trap sound, fueled by percussion, is a step in a new direction.” The track’s video, directed by Tommy Pointer, is available to watch now.
Y’ALL was produced by John Cunningham (Lil Nas X, Miley Cyrus), Ralph Castelli (Dora Jar, The Neighbourhood), and glaive’s longtime collaborator Jeff Hazin (Kali Uchis, renforshort). The album follows two 2024 releases: his sophomore album, May It Never Falter, named one of the 2024’s best by Vogue Magazine, and his latest EP a bit of a mad one, praised by NPR Music, V Magazine, and more.

Raised in Hendersonville, NC, (population 15,000), glaive has quickly emerged as a leading voice in the new wave of pop—shaping the genre not by abandoning tradition, but by reimagining it through his own lens. With earlier projects such as cypress grove, all dogs go to heaven, and then i’ll be happy, he’s earned recognition from The New York Times, Vulture, GQ, and The FADER.
His second studio album, May It Never Falter, was released in 2024 and marked a new beginning of independence and artistry for glaive. Recorded across the remote landscapes of Iceland and Wales, it built on the Sigur Rós-inspired, immersive recording style he first explored with his 2023 debut, i care so much i don’t care at all. The project was supported by an extensive North American and European tour in spring 2025.
