SYML shares “Something Beautiful and Bright” with the city of Toronto

Just hearing of SYML for the first time one month ago, I immediately fell in love with him and his voice — sounding like pure gold when he sings, making chills run through your body. He’s currently touring around North America and Europe on his “Nobody Lives Here Tour” (2025–2026). SYML started his career in 2016, as he released his first six-song EP, Hurt for Me, and has been going strong ever since, getting his name out in the world.

When he came out onto the stage, he walked straight to the piano and started playing “Careful,” and fans immediately started screaming with excitement, continuing his set with “How It Was It Will Never Be” and “Girl.” As he was performing a bunch of his best hits, he was switching instruments every few songs. He went back and forth between playing the piano and playing his guitar.

After a few songs, he stopped and started answering questions from the crowd, from where he’ll be touring next, to who his worst heartbreak was from. Questions were personal, but he answered them with great pride.

During the set, he also threw in a cover of Billie Eilish‘s “When the Party’s Over” and Lana Del Rey’s “Paris, Texas” as the piano version, which was beautifully played and well executed.

SYML also heard from fans, as he was answering questions, that it was a little girl’s eighth birthday, and he got very excited; everyone in the room started singing “Happy Birthday” to her. It was such a special moment for her and her family.

Another special moment that happened during the night: SYML brought a couple fans from Ukraine onto the stage as they asked if they would be able to stand next to him on the stage and listen to him sing his songs. They eventually stood backstage for the rest of the show.

As the night was coming close to the end, SYML thanked Toronto fans for everything and left the stage. Fans were going crazy, wanting him to come back out for an encore — and he did just that. Coming back out onto the stage moments later for a four-song encore, the crowd was still holding their excitement.

The whole night was musically magical, and I would 100% go back to another SYML concert when he returns to Toronto in the future.

Beyries, from Montreal, Quebec, opened for SYML and was giving it her all, and the crowd had been loving her since she came onto the stage. Playing her guitar for her whole set, she was extremely comfortable. The only thing that she was having difficulty with was trying to explain her songs and what they mean in English since Canadian-French is her native language.Other than that, her performance was amazing, as she was singing some songs in English and some in French. I can’t wait to see how far she goes in her career.
