Miley Cyrus has released the deluxe edition of her acclaimed visual album, Something Beautiful, which features two entirely new songs. These tracks showcase Miley’s ability to reveal more about herself and demonstrate her willingness to explore ideas creatively.
The single, “Secrets,” features Miley with Lindsay Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood of the iconic band Fleetwood Mac. The music video, co-directed by Miley, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter, was filmed at Los Angeles’ historic Million Dollar Theatre. This is also where the original cover for the album was constructed. In this music video, Miley appears in head-turning Iris Van Herpen Couture and Maison Margiela ensembles.
On Monica Lewinsky’s “Reclaiming” podcast, which was released back in June, Cyrus spoke about how the song “Secrets” was written about her father and her hope that he would feel safe opening up to her.
Something Beautiful Deluxe also features a song, titled “Lockdown,” which is a 13-minute collaboration with David Byrne that further explores the creative and musical vision of the album.
Something Beautiful Deluxe is now out everywhere on all streaming platforms.
