It’s wild to realize it’s been ten years since “Trap Queen” first lit up radio, house parties, and every summer playlist in the country. To mark the moment, Fetty Wap is revisiting the monster that launched him, his self titled debut, with a fully loaded 10th Anniversary Expanded Double-LP Vinyl Edition, out now via 300 Entertainment/RGF Productions.
The new pressing isn’t just nostalgia; it’s bigger and heavier. You still get the original 17 track set that made Fetty a phenomenon, but now with all three songs from the 2015 Deluxe Edition plus one more long time fan favorite, the Top 10 smash “Jimmy Choo.” Altogether, it’s 21 cuts that map one of the most unstoppable breakout runs hip-hop has seen in the last decade.
When Fetty Wap dropped September 25, 2015, it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and changed the conversation overnight. Fueled by the Diamond certified juggernaut “Trap Queen,” the album also gave us era defining hits like “679 (feat. Monty)” (6× Platinum), “My Way (feat. Monty)” (3× Platinum), and “Again” (3× Platinum, and TikTok fueled back on the Billboard 100 this year). At one point, Fetty became the first artist in Hot Rap Songs history to land his first four singles in the Top 10 at the same time, a stat that still feels impossible.
The album’s crossover appeal was undeniable with GRAMMY® nominations for “Best Rap Song” and “Best Rap Performance,” an MTV VMA for “Artist To Watch,” an iHeartRadio Best New Artist win, a Billboard Music Award for Top New Artist, and year end love from Complex, NME, SPIN, Vice and Pitchfork. Complex might’ve said it best: “no one had the run Fetty Wap had in 2015.”
The new 10-year vinyl is aimed squarely at fans who lived that summer and the ones discovering Fetty’s resurgence now via TikTok. Two LPs, all the anthems, the bonus material, and artwork ready for a fresh spot on the shelf.
